Power market data infrastructure
Power-market data for teams that need the data — not necessarily the whole enterprise platform.
SteadyState Data builds and operates targeted data infrastructure around public ISO/RTO data and the market data your team already licenses: collecting it, validating it, keeping its history, and delivering it into the databases, Python models and analytics systems you already use.
What we build
Focused infrastructure around market data.
Each pipeline is built around the markets, datasets and delivery methods a team actually uses. These are the pieces we can put together:
Collection
- Automated ISO/RTO data collection
- API ingestion
- Recurring report downloads
- Market notification collection
- Historical data collection
Quality
- Normalization
- Reconciliation and validation
- Data quality checks
- Historical backfills
Delivery
- Database loading
- PostgreSQL delivery
- Scheduled CSV and file delivery
- REST API delivery
- Integration into trading and analytics systems
Operations
- Monitoring
- Alerts on missing or late data
- Custom pipelines
- Maintenance as sources change
Start with what you actually need.
Many smaller trading and analytics teams don't need every dataset, dashboard and analytical feature a large commercial platform bundles together — at least not at first. They need a few specific datasets, delivered reliably, into systems they control.
We can start with:
…and expand from there as the work grows.
Where this fits: For teams that primarily need selected market data delivered reliably into their own systems, SteadyState Data can build a focused solution without requiring them to start with a large bundled analytics platform. It isn't a replacement for everything those platforms do — it's focused infrastructure for the data you actually use.
Markets
U.S. ISO/RTO markets.
ERCOT is our first market. The other major U.S. power markets are being developed, and client requirements help decide which datasets we build next.

ISO-NE market dataWho it's for.
Technical teams that understand energy markets and want the data in their own hands.
New and small trading teams
Market data in your own database from the start, without first building a data engineering team.
Analytics and quantitative teams
Consistent historical market data shaped for SQL, Python and notebooks.
Generation and storage operators
Prices, notices and system conditions routed into operational and reporting workflows.
Energy consultants
Repeatable data collection behind client studies and recurring analysis.
Energy technology companies
Market-data pipelines underneath your own product, without running the collection yourself.
Where this comes from.
SteadyState Data grew out of solving real data problems in U.S. power markets: collecting public market data reliably, normalizing it, keeping its history intact, and getting it into the systems trading and analytics teams actually use.
Energy markets were one of the places where we learned what reliable data infrastructure actually means. The same lessons now carry into the rest of our work — APIs, recurring reports, databases, reconciliations, vendor integrations, legacy systems and operational automation.
Need this data running reliably?
SteadyState Data builds and operates focused power-market data pipelines for trading, analytics and energy teams. Start with the market, dataset and delivery method — we'll help determine the smallest reliable system required to get it into your environment.
